As mentioned before on various social media accounts, I am a proud ambassador for SheaMositure, for the year of 2018.
Throughout this year, I will receive products for myself,products to give to friends and family and to host giveaways. The products that I keep for myself, I will review for my readers so they can read an honest opinion before buying the products. Stay tuned, there is a giveaway at the end!
I have been a true fan of SheaMoisture products for over 5 years now. My favorite qualities about the company includes: all natural ingredients, made with free-trade ingredients, family owned, cruelty free, and any how it's one of the only brands that work with my hair.
As mentioned in a previous post, I have polysystic ovary syndrome which causes hair loss and thinning. This was a factor that I considered when deciding to stop using relaxers and SheaMositure made my process so much easier.
My First Box! Face and Body!
My first box included products from the African Black Soap Bamboo Charcoal Line. I fell in love with the African Black soap facial cleanser and Body wash years ago. My box included: Face wash,Body Scrub, and Face Moisturizer.
African Black Soap Bamboo Charcoal Foaming Facial Wash: This face wash will be your new favorite go too. It gives a deep clean and balances skin. It helps with texture and acne. It’s also contain a lot of product for a low cost. I definitely recommend this product! I personally used this product day and night. I've noticed a huge difference in the texture of my skin. Ive used the African Black Soap Problem Face Wash & Scrub and loved the results. Adding bamboo charcoal to this formula makes a difference and I love it.
I give this product 10 out of 10.
The price is perfect, the ingredients are organic and healthy, and results are visible.
African Black Soap Bamboo Charcoal Body Scrub: I have bought this scrub a couple times before becoming a Sheabassador. So its not a surprise that I love it. *I have problem skin which means: My face produces a lot of oil, I have visable pores, I get breakouts, my body has very thick and course(pcos) body hair, which causes skin discolorations from shaving and waxing.* This product has helped me tremendously. I use it before I shave or make an appointment to get a brazilian. It helps you get a much smoother shave which last longer, and helps fight further skin discoloration. It can be mixed into your body wash as well. I highly recommend this body scrub.
I give this product 10 out of t10.

African Black Soap and Bamboo Charcoal Hydrating Gelee Moisturizer: Due to the natural ingredients in this product, its really thick and dries very quickly when using on your face making it hard to spread and massage into the skin. I have heard that mixing it with another moistuizer or adding to bb or cc creams can help. I would not recommend this product.
I give this product a 5 out of 10.The price is good, the ingredients are natural, but its hard to use.
Hair
The first product I used was their hair products, which is why I felI in love with the company. I started out using the Raw Shea Butter line. I started using SheaMoisture products when I was still getting regular relaxers. When the Jamaican Black Castor Oil line came out, I switched to this line. I love both lines, and they both provided different qualities that my hair needs. As of now, being natural for 8 months, Im in love with multiple lines. Just some to name includes: Coconut & Hibiscus, Manuka Honey & yogurt , Jamaican Black Castor Oil, and Manuka honey & Mafura Oil (Conditioner and Deep Conditioner).
I received a second box recently as well. My second box included products from the Manuka Honey & Yogurt Collection. The products included:
Shampoo: The shampoo is very moisturizing and does not strip your hair of it natural oils. It leathers well, and a little goes a long way. I only have to wash once instead of twice like a usually do, which saves me product and makes the shampoo last longer.
I give this shampoo a 8 out of 10.
The price is okay, the ingredients are natural, and the result are visible. I wish the shampoo bottle were bigger like other brands.
Conditioner: The conditioner can be described the same as the shampoo. It's very moisturizing and detangles. I tend to use a lot of conditioner since i detangle in the shower.
I give this conditioner a 8 out of 10

This goes for all shampoo and conditioner products from SheaMoisture. Their prices are higher than most drug store brands, but they have less product in the containers than other brands.
Protein Treatment: This is the first protein treatment that I have ever used. I notice a change in my hair, it looks stronger, but while waiting, the product get really hard in your hair when it dries, which can cause breakages when washing it out of your hair.
I give this treatment a 6 out of 10. Its priced fairly, it has natural ingredients, and the results are visible, but for me, it was a little difficult to use.
Split end Sealer: This is an amazing product. It provides mosturizer to the ends of your hair without weighting it down or affecting your curl pattern. The only tip I have for this product is detangle as you go. If you just section and apply to ends, it can make it harder to style. This product natural ingredients makes it really thick and can be messy.
I give this a 6 out of 10. It's priced fairly, has natural ingredients, and results are visible. It can be difficult to use because the product is so thick and once distributed throughout hair, it makes the hair a little hard to detangle.
Tip: Keep hair wet when applying and detangle throughout.
Just like other leave-in conditioners by SheaMositure , it is amazing. It detangles, provides moisture, helps hair become stronger by fighting breakage.
I will give this leave-in conditioner a 10 out of 10. It's prices fairly, has natural ingredients, and the results are visible.
