I am a full believer in the power of prayer, fitness, therapy, and counseling. I have been going to therapy on and off for the last ten years and it has honestly been the best decision I have ever made. If you made a 2019 resolution such as incorporating more happiness in your life, less toxins, better money management, a healthier dating or marriage life, or anything similar, I highly recommend seeking therapy to not only keep you on track with those goals, but to also dive down and figure out why you have not been successful in the past. Therapy has been beneficial to me and I know that it will be beneficial to you, as well.
One issue that a lot of people have with therapy is the price. Most people think of therapy as expensive, but most therapy services accepts multiple forms of insurance and payment options - a lot of places even take Medicaid, which is extremely beneficial, so if money is a concern, please do you research before shutting down the idea completely.
I truly believe that therapy is the best form of self-care and if you are interested in improving your life, find a counselor that will help you live your best life possible. For me, therapy has personally helped me with anxiety, depression, adhd, dyslexia, battling eating disorders, chronic hives, speech difficulties, sleeping habits, traumatic experiences and even an emotional abusive relationship. I have seen myself flourish and grow over the years that I have been in therapy and I have gone from a scared and worried person to someone that has a lot of confidence, even when I am dealing with a lot of stress in my life.
Here is ten benefits of Therapy
1. Communication and interpersonal skills
2. Increased levels of confidence and self-esteem
3. Relief from anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses
4. Develop more initiate and fulfilling relationship
5. Help overcome life challenges and difficulties.
